I read on a post just now that zMUD has ruby/perl/python/whatever support... but I can't verify that anywhere else... is the new CMud going to have support for ruby written triggers?

As long as Ruby uses the Microsoft Scripting Service (MSS), it should work. MSS scripting in CMud is currently, as far as I know, non-operational, though.
