Sample MUD file

I have opened the Sample MUD file in the past, but upon upgrading it no longer shows up with the other files. It is still in the zMud folder, so how can I get it transfered or get zmud to show it/use it?

Still need help with this.

I guess I need to know how to use it if it does not show up with the other icons?

ps. this was after an upgrade i believe. Or maybe it has to do with XP vs 98? Seems like i can get it to work on my XP but not 98.

Usually the SAMPLE.MUD file is installed into the "Sample" subdirectory within your zMUD directory. Don't know why it wouldn't show up unless you deleted the icon from your character file or something. It still gets installed correctly on new installations that I tested.

Is there a way to create the icon to put it back? I don't recall ever deleting it, though I must have somehow. I still HAVE the Sample mud folder and .mud file so not sure why it wouldn't show up. When did the Sample Icon start showing up? It has been a while since I last upgraded.

since before version 6.xx. Dunno how long before that, since I only started ZMud using version 6.10 or so, but it likely existed in version 5 and maybe 4.

As mentioned in other similar topic in this forum, just delete the startup.ini file and when you restart zMUD is will recreate any missing default icons. This assumes you are running version 7.05 or later.
