Change font from command line?
 
Is it possible to change the font and size and all that from the command line?

Sort of. I am not entirely sure about the scope for MXP, but it is capable of changing the font and size. I believe it has a per line basis though. After the targetted text has been displayed user defaults should be restored.

User Preferences are not alterable through script functions. Since font and text size fall into those categories they are not available to be altered through scripts.
