Some triggers fire, some don't.. |
I'm using an old version of zMUD, 5.44.
A while back I added a simple trigger;
tells you 'summon (%w)'
cast 'summon' %1
It works fine.
Then I added another similar trigger;
tells you 'heal (%w)'
cast 'heal' %1
And this one doesn't trigger at all.
It's like this every time I add something, and I can't figure out why some triggers
work, and some don't. They're all saved, so when I log back in, the failing trigger
is still there, with the one that works. The one that failed, still fails. It seems to be
completely random what works and what doesn't.
Any ideas?

without seeing the exact prompting I can't say why exactly this is failing, but you could try
#TRIG {tells you 'heal %w} {cast 'heal' %1} and see if it works better. The () shouldn't be needed.
Also would be helpful to know exactly how the trigger is failing. For instance, is it just not firing or is it firing on the wrong name, etc... |

Alternatively, why don't you use an uncracked version of the software?
