Unfortunately, I don't know what this person's settings are like, nor would it be reasonable to assume that I could list all their settings and all my settings. I'll certainly let you know of particular settings we might have if you ask for them because they might be relevant. This problem has been noticed by me for awhile, but I haven't been bothered to pursue it. However, on the forums for the MUD I play, someone else brought it up, so I figured I might as well bring it here to see if there's anything we can do.

It is something to do with "stay on top", i had help set to do so, kept it on my secondary monitor... which i also use for editing, every once in a while, it would pop back in front and i cuss it as well :P

There are two settings, actually.

One is found in the icon menu for each window, which is only available for the main CMud app and undocked child windows it uses (floating child windows, floating mapper window, package editor, DB module window, etc). This is called Stay on Top, and it taps into the Windows feature of the same name. It's not a standard Windows feature, however, so Microsoft hasn't really perfected it enough to avoid these annoying situations of window-order flicker.

The other is found in Preferences, applying only to user windows (ie, #WINDOW/#CAPTURE and #MAKEWINDOW). This one is found in Preferences under the Window Options tab of the User Interface section. It's called Bring to Front Window with Activity. It's like Stay-on-top, except that the zorder is changed manually and only when something happens in that window.
