Actually, you can already do this.

1) Get a Coffee maker with an Internet connection
2) Use COM in CMUD to connect to the Coffee maker and use the #ALARM command to tell it when to turn on.

There...done.

Or, using the #URL command you could control any coffee maker anywhere in the world!

There's even better news for "Suicide" drinkers (Suicide is the name in our neck of the woods that refers to mixing different flavors of soda, usually from a fountain machine). A company that deals with futuristic or scifi-based foodstuffs is currently developing a "programmable soda bottle" that allows you to choose which flavor(s) you want.
