Program Won't Load |
I am having the strangest error. I just got back into MUDding and decided that I wanted to pick zMUD back up (I purchased 4.x if that tells you how long it has been). At any rate, I downloaded zMUD 7.21 and installed it and bam, the program won't load. I get a brief hourglass and then nothing. So I uninstall the program, reboot and reinstall. Still nothing. So I reboot into safe mode, uninstall, double-check the registry and then reboot into normal mode. Still nothing. So I figure I just have bad luck and as I am looking for help, I stumble upon this new client cMUD. So I uninstall zMUD, download cMUD and install it. Everything is peachy. I go to run cMUD and the same thing, nothing happens.
Has anyone else had this problem? I am at a total loss on what to do here.
I should also mention that when I check the Task Manager, there are two instances of cMUD.exe running. |

I also neglected to mention that as soon as I attempt to execute the program, my CPU usage jumps from 2% to 97-99% being used.
I am running an AMD Athlon64 4000+ on Windows XP SP2 (32-bit) |

Are you installing and running as an administrator?
The 2 cmud.exe (or zmud.exe) files in the task manager are normal. One is for the software protection and the other is the actual cmud executable. |
