zMud Developer Install

Can not install the Developer, so I have not registered it yet, so I don't have access to the developer forum to post this on there.

But...

I Can not seem to be able to install the Developer
I have downloaded zmuddev22.exe twice
Tried to install it twice

Get Same Message:
The file'C:\Program File\zMMUD\zMUD.exe\Delphi\Prompt Plugin\readme.txt' could not be opened.......

Says to check file permissions and disk space. Both of which are cool.

Anybody run into this and know how to solve it?

Did you perform the installation as an Administrator?

Try putting it directly in the root of C:\ as zDev, probably won't make a difference but worth a try.

I tried copying the install to the c:\ and that did not work.

I want to point out one point that looks very odd to me.

I is trying to copy files to a subdirectory of C:\Program Files\zMUD\zMUD.exe\Delphi\......

There is no zMud.exe directory! It just looks odd to me.

Possibly an error in your registry path pointing to zmud it is also including zmud.exe, check the install path and remove the zmud.exe portion from it. Also you do not need to register the dev center for personal use just if you want to distribute your plugins.

THANKYOU NEXELA! That was it.

My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Zuggsoft\InstallDir

was c:\Program Files\zMUD\zMUD.exe
changed it to c:\Program Files\zMUD

fixed it
