mapper |
this is my problem i use achaea but as you may know achaea uses a wierd description interface for rooms.
it shows the room mand the description and then items in the room then exits is there a way to configure zmud mapper to reconize the difrence in the room desc and items.
examply room desc. bold font in mud output italic font is not mud output
room name>Temple Gardens.
time of day>The bright sun shines down, blanketing you with its life-giving warmth.
room desc>You see every form of plant life existing on Achaea, and a few more that you do not recognise. The smell here is almost overpowering and seems to put you in a trance. The stairs seem to end here, at the entrance to a Monastery. It appears to be a peaceful Temple, as you wonder who resides here. On the far north wall, there appears to be some kind of writing, but it is in a language that is long since gone. There are two paths here that seem to wander further up the hill.
room items> [b]A runic totem is planted solidly in the ground. Lying flat on the ground is a key-shaped sigil. A sigil in the shape of a small, rectangular monolith is on the ground. An obsidian eye sigil is here. A bamboo bench is here.
room exits>You see exits leading northeast (closed door), east (closed door), west, northwest (closed door), and down (closed door).
and how it looks directly from the mud
Temple Gardens.

I also play on Achaea. To my knowledge the only way to perfectly map there is one form or another of maper overide. If you really want to map it out for yourself you are likely to be in for a crash course in zScript. You might also try looking up Larkin, as he has published many scripts specifically for Achaea, and I believe has one that works for mapping with very solid accuracy.

Typically, for IRE games you'll want to disable seeing the weather (which is the line about the bright sun and the such).
Achaea has a help file for setting things up for zMUDs mapper, but it isn't perfect.
If that doesn't quite get you helped out, look up Larkin's World. He's got a mapping configuration on there that works pretty good and will even colour different types of rooms for you. |
