I am trying to cut down on some spammy stuff from the MUD without overly slowing down the ZMud. With a skill called ALERTNESS I can see who enters a room next to me. The problem is, it's spammy.

How can I cut it down with SUB or PSUB. The actual end of the line differs with the length of the person's title and the room name.

The person's name shows up in ANSI color code 3 while the rest is regular text.

EXAMPLE:
Your enhanced senses inform you that Lyricicist Dele Windsong, The Poetic Genius/has entered Zanzibaar Street nearby.
OR
Your enhanced senses inform you that Strider Dontarion has entered Shallam Road /by Eastern Row nearby.
OR
Your enhanced senses inform you that Gorthain Gorndell, Gnomish Gangster has /entered Fish Street nearby.
OR
Basically any variant of such (The "/" is where the line breaks. I would like it to take out anything prior to the ansi color 3, then again to HAS ENTERED... I have tried it with no luck. A friend offered this...

#REGEX {Your enhanced senses inform you that(.*)(?: |\n)+(.*)has(?: |\n)+entered(?: |\n)+(.*)(?: |\n)+nearby\.} {#echo %1 %2 entered %3}

The problem is, it doesn't SUB out so it ends up even spammier (ECHO) and it echos 4 times adding 4 more lines of spam PER PERSON.

Any help would be helpful. Thanks.

rofl echo is the wrong command. You said yourself #SUB

Realize its late i just got off a 16 hour shift and i read this hastily.

It would seem to me just try
#SUB %1 %2 entered %3 in the trigger commands. I will post tomorrow when i can read it through less blurry eyes but give that a go

Personally i would just throw it all into a child window...
