Mapper and two different descriptions of a room |
Debending what verbosity i use in mud i get either this
Code: |
FFFFFFFFF You are walking in a forest. The trees around you are tall, and huge
FFFFFFFFF in diameter. Some may even be hollow inside. They provide good
FFFF*FFFF hiding places, maybe you should look around for hidden animals and
FFFFFFFFF treasures. A crag of stone is embedded in the ground.
FFFFFFFFF Obvious exits are: nw, n, ne, w, e, sw, s and se.
|
or this
Code: |
The Forest (nw,n,ne,w,e,sw,s,se). |
as a input when i enter a room.
Are im correct that the mapper can only handle one description per room, thus i cant use the brief verbosity at all wihout geting my mapper totaly lost? |

You can create two configurations, one for each mode. Verbose has no roomname, brief only has roomname with exits on same line.
Then you can make an alias that switches the config file for the mapper, and also issues the command to the mud to change modes.
Many years ago, there was a script for loading room descriptions by overriding the #LOOK command using #TAGs while mapping in brief mode. Unfortunately, I don't have the script anymore, and it probably wouldn't work with the current automapper, anyway. I hope this helps. |
