changing port?

is it possible to change the port that zmud connects to?
my school's internet slows down a lot of online game stuff, zmud included.
i know that if i change the port on AOL Instant Messenger it works much faster, and i figure if i could change the port that zmud connects to it would work better.
and by port i don't mean the port to connect to a specific mud, i mean the port zmud uses in general.
thanks for any help.

The only way to change the port would be to go through a proxy and those generally tend to slow the connection down (it may not be noticeable or enough to worry about, but you're essentially adding another hop in the traceroute to the MUD).
