that is exactly the statement bieng given to me by the mapper when I try to open it.

It was giving this message before I quit the last time, and I quit hoping it would all fix itself on restart. Any suggestions? I have a 48.7 mb map database and I'd prefer not to have to recreate it.

did you try compacting the database? I've found that to be a powerful weapon against minor bugs and glitches that pop up.

Don't know if what you mean is that you can't even open the map database, but if you can, then click "file" and then "Compact Map Database"
Alternately, you can open the database in Access and click "Tools->Database Utilities->Compact and Repair Database

NOTE: the Access version of this needs to have the map database closed in Zmud 1st
