Layout file forever corrupted?? |
I've set the layout of the windows to some tiled version that I prefer.. then I saved the layout.
The next time I start the session, it complains the layout file is corrupted.
Is there a way to save the layout WITHOUT corrupting the file? Because "save layout" seems to be dead. |

I had a similar problem which I fixed by deleting the <name>.lay file in the zmud folder, repositioning the windows in zmud and saving again. Not sure if it will fix your problem but it must be worth a try.

I've did more testing and apparently, the layout file will be corrupted if I resize the windows after I positioned them. If I just allow Zmud to size them, everything would be fine.
This is, of course, ridiculous. Zmud sometimes make windows size choices that are so small, the window is barely useful, while sometimes making things like the status window take up half the screen.
Is there a more user friendly way to do this? |

I haven't experienced this. I'd suggest that perhaps the problem is in the tiling procedure. Did you try to create the layout without using and/or turning auto-tiling off and then saving the layout? Just a thought.
