path not recording for some reason... |
No matter whether I type in #MARK, or click on action/record path, my path will not record. I'll watch the output in the record box, and when I type in a direction, nothing shows up in the box. I probably have a stupid setting wrong in my prefs. Can anybody help me with this?
Thanks!

Goto the beginning of your path.
Type #MARK into the command line and press <Enter>.
Walk your desired path.
When finished, type #PATH pathname into the command line and press <Enter>.
Your path will be saved to the .pathname variable.
See the Help files under path. |

That's what I did exactly. It creates the path, but doesn't insert the directions for some reason.

Are your #DIRECTION settings correct? By default there is a set already created in the System|Direction and System|DirectionDiag classes. These would be inheritted setting so you must have the Show Inheritted checked in the View menu of the Settings Editor. If for some reason they are not present or are disabled such as you checked the "Remove this inheritted class on load" box for any of those classes simply correct that problem and your path should now record properly.
