Help! Zmud Text Overload?

I need some help. When I currently log on to a particular MUD, there are so many lines of text in the room I am in that Zmud drops the connection. I have also expereinced the drop of connection when I received too much scroll via dropping numerous items. (This is the only explanation I can figure out) By dropping the connection the character essentially winds up unusable. I swear I had this problem before in an earlier version (much earlier) and was able to fix it by changing the amount of buffering used. But unfortunately I can't find the preference setting to correct the problem at this time. Any ideas? I have searched through the forums and the help files and can not find anything related to this problem.
