Logging with Timestamps

Hi,

In the setup I have, I have all the main MUD activty in the main window, and all tells, chats, narrates, etc in a seperate window, and gag it from the main window. I log everything that happens in these windows in ANSI color.

What I would really like to do is to insert a timestamp for every line that is logged (preferably just before the actual log line), so that later on when I want to merge the main log and the communications log, I can just sort it by the time stamp (say the first 10 characters or so) and I can get the entire text in proper chronological order.

Is this at all possible to do? Capturing everything to yet another child winow (say LogWindow) and adding a time stamp for every line is not an option, as my computer is rather slow and does not have the processing capabilites to do this and play the MUD lag free.

Thanks,

Ka0s

In the Logging prefs, uncheck Log After Triggers. This will allow you to log before anything gets gagged, so all you'll need is the log of the main window.

Yup, thanks Lightbulb, but I figured that much out just browsing the forums here. But I have several coloring triggers which I would also eventually like to show up in my HTML log (using Charbal's program), so Logging before Triggers is not an option.

Should have mentioned that in my first post itself, my bad. But I'm guessing there is no workaround for this ?
