A few problems
 
Ok... I created several button guages for one of my chars...they work fine on him.
I create those same guages in another char, as they have the same prompt and such, and the guages dont move at all, nor does the status bar work.... any ideas on what could cause this?

Check to see if the gauges/status bar has @variables vs resolved numbers. Depends on how you created them and how your command line options are set up.
