Logging into my mud problem

Hi all. I've been having this same sort of problem for all versions 6+. I don't think I had them for versions 4-5 though.

Anyhow I'll get the usual:

-- By what name shall we know thee? --

And so I'll type my name. Then I get:

-- Password: --

Which is normal, but it instead it 'acts' like I have a trigger somewhere to enter a password but I really don't. And what's wierder is that it enters _nothing_. But it gives me two ' Password: ' requests which drives me nuts.

I know this is hard to understand because-
1) im buzzing
2) im buzzing

But if anyone does have some info or similiar happenings where zmud enters a blank password for you then please respond.

P.S. It enters the blank password but my mud doesn't say -- That is incorrect --. It says nothing except gives me another request for password. And it's not happening elsewhere so I suspect I'm retarded.

Thank You please help!

Ok, first check to see that you do not have in fact a trigger to enter the password. Normally zMUD would create this in the Autolog class. Try turning on View|Show Hidden and View|Show Inherited just in case.

If you do not have this trigger, try clicking Prefs, expanding General, clicking on Emulation and deselecting MXP/HTML. Then try to log into the MUD and see if the MUD sends anything like this:
<USER>
or
<PASSWORD>
