Command echoing

Is there any way to turn command echoing on and off via scripting? i.e. I have a script that sends a lot of commands in sequence to to MUD. I send the results to a second window, but I would really like to turn off echoing just while running this script.

Any ideas?

Prefix all commands with the SEND command. That shouldn't be echoed by the normal command echo.

Hmm...well that worked...but not quite the way I had hoped.

I still get the line feed from the MUD. Nothing I can do about that though. I am turning the prompt off when I start it though so any real MUD output is scrolling by in the middle of a black background.

Thanks.

I've found the best solution is to create a blank-line trigger and turn it on or off as needed or simply leave it on. Scrolling becomes much smoother in relation to the gagging.
