show/say/echo |
Is there any difference between these besides that echo and say are both light cyan color and show is the default text color?

The difference is that the text from #SHOW is parsed by triggers while the text from #ECHO and #SAY should not be parsed by triggers. Although I have seen some cases when this isn't true.
Also, #SHOW and #SAY print the text in the window that sent the command, while #ECHO prints the message in the active window.

I believe the precise difference is SAY never hits a trigger, ECHO can depending on your preferences, and SHOW always goes to the triggers.
I believe the preference that controls whether triggers catch ECHO is Trigger on Messages. |
