#AL (%d)d(%d)? |
Is it possible to create a dynamic alias? something that is evaluated when it's entered.

Think #ONINPUT is what you want its like a trigger for the commands you send in

I think you mean something like this (judging from the topic title)
read the help file for Alias's
#HELP ALIAS
#AL eat {get %1 from %2;eat %1}
eat bread pack
will send to the mud get bread pack
eat bread |

From a trigger:
#TR {(%d)%d(%d)} {#AL %1%2 {I can't imagine any practical use for this}} |

Umm using #oninput I got the formula working but now am I able to tell zmud to not send the command to the mud as I type it? I tried doing a #noop but it still passed through to the mud. thoughts? I appreciate it.

Not sure exactly what your trying to do but #GAG for #ONINPUT stops it from being sent. If this isn't what you wanted post exactly what your trying to do we can help figure it out.
Cheers, Jesse |

basically I'm trying to make a universal die alias where I type in whatever that starts with a number immediatly is followed by the letter d and then another number, ie:
1d6
2d20
6d100
etc.. whatever, but I want to do it in one alias, and I've almost got it, I'll give the #gag a shot and see if that'll do it, which I'm expecting it will, I'll let you know how it goes |

You might want to have a look at the dice functions, %dice, %dicemin, %dicemax, %diceavg, and %dicedev.
