Mapper |
I'm having some issues trying to get the mapper working. I did the auto configure and it kind of worked but not really. I tried manual configure and I still couldn't get it working after tweaking a few things that looked like they might help. Basically when I walk around sometimes it detects the exits fine, sometimes it doesn't think there are exits there and if I go that way it puts a door there, sometimes if I go west the mapper think I went north (applies to all directions). I set up the directions in my settings and read through the help files but can't figure it out! Here is some sample output.

Inside the West Gate
You are standing just inside the west gate of Manetheren, on the
cozy cobblestone road that runs the length of the city from east to west. To the north of you there is a small map shop, and beyond it the fabled Black Tower stretches up ominously, looming over the city like a great stone guardian. Its shadow tears a jagged scar across the market far to the east.

Wedged between the buildings and the wall, a small alley hides just north.

Outside the West Gate
You are standing outside the west gate of the city of Manetheren,
on an extremely steep slope which leads down to the west, to what
looks like a large intersection of roads where the forest meets
the hill country. This slope couldn't possibly be manmade, evidently
the city was built on some kind of a hill, to make it more fortified.

A city gatekeeper is here, watching the gate from his post.

Near the West Gate
You are on a dust covered east-west road crossing the grassy plains between Manetheren and the forest of Two Rivers. An occasional hunter or adventurer can be seen, traveling through the forest. To the east is the walled city, Manetheren.

OK I think the roomd descriptions were throwing it off. Sometimes it looked like the description was too long or had spacing it in that was throwing the detection of exits off. When I turned them off it works a little better, thanks for the help with the limited information I gave!
