Flashing |
My Output Window (zMUD v6.62) is flashing like mad after connecting to TinyTim. I have already changed the Refresh Amount in General Preferences but i doesn't make a difference.
Any help would be appreciated

Does this happen when connecting to other muds?
Have you tried to connect after clicking the trigger button off? |

Not sure what you mean by flashing but it could be that the mud has set your background to a flashing colour... you could try changing font settings to see if that makes a difference and then if it does make a trigger to avoid it. I have to have triggers to prevent MUDs giving me nasty colours all over the place. Computers are MEANT to be green text on black backgrounds :-)

Flashing means: after each line that I receive from the mud the zMUD Output Window turns black for a split of a second.
I wonder if control codes sent by the mud could cause that problem.
It happens sometimes with other muds but not to that extend. It's usually the same line or perhaps paragraph that causes the problem. In Avalon e.g when i pass through a certain room, at one line the output window becomes black for a split sec. But it didn't really bug me there, unlike TinyTim. |

"Triggers are off"
tried with "Parsing is off" as well (just in case ) but no improvement.
my connection

some additional info:
I reinstalled zMUD a couple of days ago and logged on to tinyTIM for the first time. Will say, the client is almost virgine like and I haven't tinkered with the zMUD configuration. |

Try changing Telnet Options on the Emulation Prefs. After each change, reconnect to the MUSH.

LightBulb, I have tried the Telnet Options to no avail and decided to leave it for now. I was just curious how MUSHs, such as TinyTIM, work and came across that flashing problem.
Thanks for your input anyway. |
