Database fatal error

Whenever I first start zMUD, if I try to access the database from the command line, nothing happens. If I try to access it with the window, I get
quote:
Access violation at address 00404538 in module 'Zmud.exe'. Read of address 00000008
If I then close the DB window and reopen it, everything works (nearly) as expected. |

I am continuing to get this error, every time I start up zMUD and the database window is already open. It is the same memory addresses every time.

Perhaps your layout file is corrupted. Try editing the properties for your character in the Character Selection Screen and in the Files tab uncheck the Use Layout checkbox.
If that doesn't solve it, then you can try moving your database files somewhere else, in case they are corrupted, and trying the DB window again. You might also try a clean reinstall of zMUD.
