Converting new settings to old Zmud... |
Is there a way to convert settings that were used in the newest shareware version of Zmud back to the oldest version (free version) without having the old one crash? I opened the settings file with MS Word and I have over 83 pages of aliases, triggers, and variables for Achaea, which would take forever to transport by hand back to the old Zmud. I know I probably sound like a cheapskate not just buying the full version, but I really can't afford it. So... if anyone can help me out, I'm going to attach (hopefully) a bit of the settings file.
Thanks,
Kered
P.S. When I tried to load the new into the old, it simply crashed the program. |

Compose Triggers ÿÿÿÿ ? A dark arachnoi man shoots out a mass of sticky webbing at you. writhe ÿÿÿÿ G You feel your limbs stiffen and lock up in response to an unseen power. br ÿÿÿÿ O The guardian spider quickly points its backside at you and shoots an incredibly writhe ÿÿÿÿ & A wave of utter panic washes over you. compose Compose Triggers ÿÿÿÿ K Heart thumping, you cannot bear the company of others and depart in terror. compose Compose Triggers ÿÿÿÿ = Strange terrifying voices begin to whisper through your mind. compose Compose Triggers ÿÿÿÿ 6 You cry out as your mind is filled with abject terror! compose
I'm not sure how to format this or what but I just copied and pasted from Word... Like I said, there is close to 85 pages of this stuff so it would really really help if someone could tell me how to format it.
Thanks again,
Kered
P.S. Something I forgot to include in the first message... I do know that the old Zmud isn't supported but if anyone will help, I'd really appreciate it. |

The best you can do is to export your settings in text mode (Settings|Export...), and then try to import them or paste them in to the old zMUD. However, a lot of the commands you use will most likely not exist in the old version. So you still end up with having to do a lot of the work by hand.
