6.40 Upgrade DB issues |
Ok, I just upgraded from 6.16 this morning. I started up Zmud and seemed to convert everything ok. When I tried to logon to the mud, it looked like it was doing something with my equipment DB and then I got the error "index out of bounds" of something similar. Subsequent to that I can't close the DB window or any window. When I do I get the message 'control " does not have an active window" or something similar. I'm running W98SE.
Thanks for any help! |

Try moving your equipment database files out of where they are and see if the error still happens. Perhaps they got corrupted.
You might also need a clean reinstall (after backing up your files, of course) besides moving the equipment database files somewhere else.

OK, I'll give it a shot tonight and see what happens. I'll also make sure the MDA stuff is current.
Thanks for the quick help! |

Just posted this on another topic of the same discussion. Here is what fixed it:
I just went through this and here is what worked for me:
1) upgraded MDAC, (my w98s version 2.5something)
2) re-converted all the databases with the utility provided, (zsconvert.exe in zmud dir)
3)Moved all databases out of the DB directory
4) started Zmud, (all is well!)
5) opened the database from saved location, (only have an equip one), and saved it to zmud DB dir.
+++++ DB works, zmud now loads w/no problems all is well+++
Thanks for the help!! |
