Idle Out? |
Ok, for some reason when I am idle zmud kills my connection and attemps to reconnect me. How can I stop this? The mud doesnt boot me, I know this because I have idle power. Any suggestions?

I don't actually have ZMud open in front of me, right now. But, if you check the preferences, there should be an option to not idle you out. I think.

To the best of my knowledge, zMUD does not autodisconnect no matter how long you are idle. It certainly doesn't have any options to do so in Preferences. If it's not the MUD disconnecting, perhaps it's your ISP. I seriously doubt that it's zMUD, though.

One way to counter this would be to use the tick-timer to send a "useless" command to the MUD every x seconds.
look
save
who
inventory
etc. Personally I use the "who" command with colour triggers on "enemies" and "friends" and thus I am kept updated for as when I should be on the lookout for a bout...

You don't even have to send a command, just send a return character and you should get your prompt spit back at you.

I have witnessed this on many of the mux's out there. Doesn't happen in the various muds I have played. I never did capture anything significant in #DEBUG to figure out why I was being dropped.
I solved it with a #ALARM *10:00 {.time}
