i just updated to the 3.17 to fix the problem i was having with layouts saving which seemed to work great.
although now when it loads it opens multiple maps at once. why is this happening and how can i get it to load one and only one map.

Delete the maps you don't want to load in settings editor. then force a save.

Have closed all maps and then deleted settings in settings editor and saved layout. restarted cmud and reloaded the session, and everything is fine untill i try and use the map in which case after the first time use and setup it will start opening other maps in the background but appear in the windows tab. If i select them and close them cmud usally freeses unless i close them all and delete the map settings in the session editor.

So for now i have to open it up close all maps and then delete settings in session editor and close restart and then open map manually. Only works once, if i close and restart cmud it usally pops up with multipule mappers..

trying to make a full new session and importing old triggers etc and see if its something in my session that is causing me issues

There's a couple possibilities I can think of. The most likely is, you may accidentally have multiple Location objects in your settings. If these Location objects are pointing to other maps, it could be spawning multiple maps. To check, click View|Locations.
