Some system variables such as %t1 or %x1 are specially handled in CMUD by the trigger pattern matcher and are not easily accessible via Lua. You should probably show an example of what you are trying to do so we can help suggest an alternate approach.

Cheers, I just thought about them as 'pretty code' solution for some triggers... Still, would be nice to have them one day
