#TEXTAREA - wish list

Hi there.
I want to propose command #TEXTAREA that will be similiar to #PROMPT but instead of displaying one input box, it will show some editor window (that can be scroll down).
Can it be done? :)
Best regards

You can do it already. Shift-Ctrl-Enter brings up the CMud editor.

Ok Matt but i want to prompt some windows during my script.
Just like I can call #PROMPT but instead of single line, I would like to have multi-line field.

What exactly do you want to do with this "multiline prompt" window? #PROMPT is for setting the value of a variable, which is not supposed to be multiline. What would your proposed #TEXTAREA do with the text you enter?

This is part of the planned feature called "Adding zApp to CMUD" that has been on my to-do list for a long time. Integrating the zApp technology into CMUD would basically allow you to create XML-based "forms" containing various input boxes, text areas, buttons, etc.

So, at this time I do not plan to add additional commands such as #textarea. I'd rather put the time into doing this right and adding zApp. Otherwise people will start asking for #checkbox, #radiobutton, #selectbox, etc, etc.

Unfortunately, stuff like finishing the new mapper and rewriting the database module still have priority over adding zApp to CMUD, so this isn't something you will see added to CMUD this year, sorry.
