CMUD not working since Vista update

Since the most recent Windows Vista security update, attempts to run CMUD, including as an Administrator or under various compatibility modes, have been met with the error: "Access violation at 0x76E8A3ED (tried to write to 0x00401000), program terminated." Program is now completely unusable. Any help is appreciated.

Not sure what caused this. Have you tried rebooting your computer? I've run the most recent Vista updates here and have not had any problem. Sounds like something messed up the copy protection in CMUD. What version of CMUD are you using?

Don't set any of the compatibility options for CMUD...that just causes other problems.

After rolling back to the previous version, uninstalling CMUD, reinstalling the Vista upgrade and reinstalling CMUD, I haven't had any new problems.

If there's a problem, reboot... if problem still exist, reinstall... is problem still exits, reinstall windows...

Been best (err... only) solution so far :P

Or (up)grade to XP? :P
hopefully win 7 will be better than vista.... tired of the upgrades that turn out to be downgrades... have a copy of vista ultimate collecting dust in the OS cd-spindle...
