pcre76.dll library error on CMUD startup |
I am now consistently getting an alert on CMUD startup -
"Error opening pcre76.dll library. Invalid access to memory location"
Once I click the OK button, CMUD starts OK and I don't see any further problem.
What is the problem and how do I resolve it?
Thanks |

Windows sometimes gets a DLL locked into memory (especially if CMUD crashed in a previous session). This happens more often on Vista. The only solution I have found to work is to reboot Windows.

I got that exact same error today, found this thread, and am glad to report that rebooting my laptop did indeed fix this... however, I'd also like to mention that while this error was in effect, -none- of my reflexes or triggers for Imperian worked. when the error was gone (gotten rid of by rebooting), so were the problems with my trigger system...

The PCRE76.DLL library implements the Regular Expressions used for matching triggers. So yes, if you get this error, none of your triggers will work.
