Problem using import

I tried to create a new session named for example "a" in cmud, then imported b.mud file from zmud7.21, we know that cmud will translate .mud to .pkg file.

But every time I do this, it gives me 2 windows in cmud, window "a" and window "b"(or package a and b), and they both contains some but not all of the codes from original b.mud file.

can someone tell me why? and how to do this correctly? I just want a package/window that contains all codes, pls help!!

You can do this automatically by selecting Import zMud sessions from the Session windows File menu. This will setup the session and copy all the zMud files as needed. Then when you open the new session offline it will preform the conversion.

The easiest manual method is to create the session in the Sessions Window. Edit the session settting its Package File to your .mud file. Then open the session offline.

The even more manual method is close the Session window to use the untitled session. Open the Package Editor, then select File|Open from its menu. Navigate to your .mud file and open it. This will convert it to a package and save it in the "packages" folder. You can then use that package with any sessions you want. The benefits of doing this are that you can correct things in the new package without attaching it to any of your actual sessions, and this is the method I recommend for inheritted, and secondary .mud files that were used in your zMud sessions.

In all cases after you have the .mud converted you should run the Compatibility Report from the PE's File menu.

You didnt get it, it did convert the .mud file to .pkg, but its from one .mud to two .pkg file and these 2 .pkg file each contains about half of the codes from the original .mud file, what I am trying to do is to get 1 root package file from 1 .mud file.

I got that your import screwed up before. At this moment I am considering it to be operator error until I can play around with it. If I find a way to make it do what happened to you; then I would make a full bug report of it.

My previous post is telling you the standard correct ways to do it. I am saying throw away whatever was produced by the failed method and use one of the methods I have described.
