I always hit submit and the odd time it goes into preview.
I have always blamed it on the fact that
quick reply : preview submit
post reply: submit preview |

I added some code to the forums a while back where some information is sent from the quick reply and full reply forms and if that information isn't received properly by the submit script, then it forces Preview mode to try and prevent the auto-spammers from posting so much crap to the forums.
I think it checks the IP address, so if your IP address is always changing for some reason, that might trigger it. That could explain why it only happens sometimes, like in TonDiening's case, but I can't see how this would always cause a problem consistently Matt. I don't ever get the Preview screen here using the Quick Reply box. |

I get it every time from the Quick Reply box but never from the full reply box. |

OK, I take that back - I don't get it *every* time from the Quick Reply box. I guess I'll need to pay more attention to what causes it. Maybe it is Firefox? I'm on IE today at work...

Also, when you've clicked the quote button to start your new post, both the submit button and the preview button send you to the preview page. Not that big a deal, though.
