Shift-Clicking a forum search result always open in same tab (and new tab)

Using Firefox (and IE, from memory) to do a forum search, if you shift-click to open one of the results, Firefox opens a new tab, and still processes the click in the current tab so that opens the page too. I assume it is some JavaScript forcing this? A bit annoying. (I use shit-click a lot!)

No, we don't have any JavaScript that is doing that, unless it's something buried in the phpBB code.
