[2.18] Read Only Package

I apologize if this has been covered elsewhere, a search for Read Only and Force Save did not come up with anything relevant.

My problem is that for some reason the main package file for a session has become locked as Read Only. This places a bar on the bottom of the setting editor with a button to Force Save any changes you have made. If I remember to press this before I close down the editor after making changes I am fine, but it is a pain to remember. Is there a way I can find out what caused the package to become locked? How can I remove the lock?

Hrm, I can recall it being mentioned elsewhere, but I cannot seem to find it in search either.
In any case, open your package editor, and on the top menu you will normally have to the right a menu with 'Package:', the packages used, then the package icon (4 yellow boxes, 2 a bit higher than the other). Click on this package icon, and the main setting window should should the currently select package, a big desc box, and right down the bottom a couple of check boxes, one being 'Read Only', which is the culprit.

If you do the following
Code:

#CLOSE windowname

THe session package will be marked at read-only. This is true whether the command is typed on the command line or issued under program control. I posted this earlier.
To close a window, unlock the layout if necessary, and click on the close button. This doesn't seem to change the status of the package.
