1. Create a package
2. Create the same package.
3. Click ok to overwrite

I have managed to reproduce this 3 times doing this.

If you click on continue application after the error message for the crash comes up, you will also note two identical package names in the package selection window to the right of the package settings editor.

Edit:: I have reproduced this again to get the error report and sent it off with the screen image attachment.

Yes, you need to close the existing package before you try to create it again. I've put this on the low-priority bug list since most people aren't going to create and overwrite a package that is already open.
