How to do multiline Status bar?

I would like the status bar for my MUD window to be multi-line. However, if I create two Status bars, or put items on two lines of my status bar, one overwrites the other, and I can not seem to stretch/resize it.

If anyone knows how to make the status bar so it can look like this:

SANC STEEL nospell
STR int wis DEX CON

I'd appreciate the advice.

Short answer: You can't. The statusbar is only one line high and there's no way to change that. You might try creating a button and using that text as the caption, and putting it in a toolbar at the bottom. That'll do roughly the same thing.

Long answer: You can sort of get two status bars if you create another window, align it to the bottom, and turn off the command line. Then resize it.

For an even better look, you could leave the command line in the secnd window but remove the command line from your main window. Then you can add a trigger to your second window that just redirects all input to the first window.

Is there any way to move the 'button bar' to the bottom of the window, then?

Yes there is.
In the window preferences.

Click prefs, click buttons, use the drop-down boxes to set the button bar to top, bottom, left, right.

By default button bar 2 is at the bottom already.

Or you could try using the status window, which can be docked on any edge. Doesn't look quite the same though.
