If you have your files saved in My Documents My Games first try uninstalling Cmud and deleting the Cmud Directory. Tell us how that goes. I think i have 1.26 somewhere but I think it best you try that first.

Thanks for mentioning the problem with the download site. I have fixed the CMUD Public Version download so that it properly downloads v1.26 instead of 1.27. So you should be able to get it from there.

However, I'd like to learn more about the problems you are having so that I can fix them. Your description of the problem was a bit vague about the exact error messages you are getting.

When you uninstall CMUD, check you registry to make sure there are no remaining reference to CMUD there.

You shouldn't ever really click Continue Application to let CMUD continue if it's a memory-related problem (I remember some alias-related problems were causing this to come up when it shouldn't have, but I don't think it does any more). It almost always won't work right and could end up corrupting your settings.

The installer removes all old CMUD registry entries so that shouldn't be the problem. Perhaps it's a write permissions problem - did you choose the InstallDir option when CMUD asks you where to save user-specific info? CMUD's looking in the installation directory for a file that should be in your data directory. If you left it as %My Documents%\etc (the default) then CMUD is looking in the wrong place for sessions.db, isn't it?

i use same directory for placing session date as program file, when i dont install to same directory (or use same place for example my documtents) i dont get message couldnt open sessions.db only message about no dynamic library from list sqlite, dll found ,so it seem i have got two problems one which can be easily repaired recreating sessions.db and second most fatal something with database sql engine.I remeber once some years before i want to create database of mobs on my mud first i tryied use zmud database but due some error i lost all data so i get confused and try another database program something called SQLite Database browser it use directly SQL commands but was really handy. It use both SQLite database engine same as cmud maybe someting is wrong with my system maybe some dll i don know my system recently crashed and it boot time is very long i try repair installation of xp but is seems it doenst help. But when i unistall and reinstall cmud all nessesary files should be copied to system dont u think ??? i can still use cmud 1.26 but it has still some bugs with mapper and some time in future i want to upgrade if that is possible

The SQLITE.DLL file is part of the CMUD installation. You shouldn't need to download it separately. Sounds like there is really something wrong with your CMUD installation.

Also, the SQLITE used in CMUD is v2.8 and *not* v3.x. Do *not* put the v3.x SQLITE.DLL file into the CMUD directory...it won't work with CMUD.

It sounds like you had a sessions.db file left in your Program Files\CMUD directory from a previous version or something. Keep in mind that uninstalling any software typically doesn't remove any user-created files. The sessions.db file is created to store your sessions, so it is *not* deleted by uninstalling. So make sure you delete these files first.

Obviously, v1.26 is not going to be able to read v1.27 files (which are newer). So in general, never install an older version of CMUD into the same directory that had a newer version.

But if you have a sessions.db file that isn't loading into v1.27 or gives an error when converting, please send it to me as an email attachment so that I can see if I can reproduce the problem on my system and figure out what's causing the error.
