Help with chats and windows please. |
I've tried using examples in the forums to get zmud to redirect text to another window, but for whatever reason, it's just not working for me :( Can someone please explain what I'm doing wrong?
I'm trying to play Euchre at the same time as I fight.. But the cards get lost when I get 20 lines of combat scroll a round :(
Some of the text, looks alot like this...
<Eukr> person throws trump, the King of Spades.
<Eukr> It is now person turn to play.
--***-- Your Hand (your turn to play) --***--
Card 1 : 10 of Spades
Card 2 : Queen of Diamonds
Card 3 : 10 of Diamonds
Card 4 : 9 of Diamonds
Card 5 : Ace of Clubs
** Spades are trump (by person) ** Tricks; You : 0 Them : 0
On the table:
person{!} led : Jack of Spades (right)
Then: person: King of Spades
Waiting on person to play.
<Eukr> It is your turn to go.
<Eukr> It is your turn to go.
<Eukr> person has won the trick with the Jack of Spades (right).
So, alot of the stuff can be captured using <Eukr>, but other stuff from --***-- Your Hand (your turn to play) --***-- to Waiting on person to play. ... and other small items.. I just don't know why it won't send it to my Euchre window....
anyone able to help, please?? |

Loftaris,
If specific lines aren't capturing correctly, it's probably that there is a problem with your pattern matching. Make sure that you are escaping special characters (such as *) in your pattern matching with a tilde (~).
Also, from your example text it looks like there may be lines that show up without a newline such as the 5 cards following the "Your Hand line". For cases like these it may be wise to use #c+ and #c- commands.
Try posting the actual triggers that you have for the lines that aren't capturing and maybe somebody can find why they aren't working. |
