Please don't mark as urgent - Zugg only asked for things to be urgent if they're causing data corruption ;)

I'm not seeing any delay here.

I created a gauge like this:
1) Open settings editor
2) Select New/Button
3) select Gauge from the pulldown menu, then go to the Gauge tab at the bottom
4) Enter @hp for the Value, and put 100 into the Max field
5) Click Save changes
6) go to the main command line and type hp=50

The gauge seems to update instantly as I change the value of hp on the command line.

All I can think of is that somehow it didn't store the reference to your variable in the Value field properly or something. But maybe you can post your exact method so that I can try it here.

thats the same method as i do anyway. could this be related to having them in packages as well? Its not a massive one this, as its not a huge delay, but it is there, for me at least.

Oh, well, yes, that would do it. Again, buttons/gauges are not going to work within packages. They need to be defined within the actual window that is displaying them.

ok, changed it and ok now.

Is it the plan to have buttons available in packages eventually? Alot of the scripts I (and quite a few others on the mud I play) have buttons for controlling functionality.. to have to have them in the main window module and not in the package with the rest of the script is going to make it very difficult for us to utilise the package library, which is one of the biggest attractions to alot of them.

Yes, I'll have buttons working in packages after the public release. So, sometime in January I hope.
