CMUD slow to give commands and read

I have CMUD ver 3.34 and just over the past couple of days, when I try to log into a MUD, it is very slow to give the commands I enter and even slower doing triggers and just plain giving commands. My character has died 4 times trying to see if its the MUD or the Client. As far as I can tell, no one else is having problems with the MUD and they are still playing. I just can't due to the slowness of CMUD!!!

I don't know what to check but it just started day before yesterday all the sudden. I didn't download anything or save anything. I don't know what I need to do now. I paid for CMUD and I love it but if I can't play.. then it does me no good.

There are three likely possibilities: 1) The mud server itself is slow. But if no one else is noticing a problem, this is probably not it. 2) Some part of the internet between you and the mud server is slow. 3) Something you are running in Cmud is slowing it down.

Do you have any triggers? Try turning triggers off (the easy way is to click the gun icon at the bottom of the Cmud window). If that speeds it up, then you have a problem in one or more of your triggers. If that doesn't help, it is probably a network problem, and probably not something we can help much with.

If it is a problem with your triggers, you will have to figure out where the problem is. One common way of doing this is to disable all your triggers, then turn them on a few at a time to see when the problem starts. There are other things you can check, too. But the first is to determine whether the problem is in your triggers.
