%ctime skipping backwards

I have a script that's dependent on %ctime. I wrote it to calculate my exp rate. It uses %ctime to determine my rate since I started as well as the rate of my last kill.

I also have it reset itself when I've reconnected based on %ctime. If the current %ctime is less than the @lasttime variable I have set, it'll reset.

That's when I notice my exp rate would reset sometimes by itself. So I added a %ctime to my normal #show %time on tic and this is what I noticed:
Wednesday November 30, 2011 12:30:09 am 1206
Wednesday November 30, 2011 12:31:39 am 1017

The number after the time is the %ctime. Clearly, the time on my computer went 90 seconds forward, but the ctime jumped backwards 189 seconds.

Why does it do this? I also have 8 windows open and it seems to do it to all of them. That is, the %ctime jumps backwards the same amount.
