at random times when I use a specific alias, I get the following error:
ERROR: Syntax error in Alias: healon : extra } brace

the script is simple on that alias though:

#IF (!@heal) {#SAY HEALING ON}
#VA heal 1

...where's the extra brace?

As has been stated several times, all posts should currently be in the General forum, because 3.xx is now a public release. The Beta forum won't be useful again until development of the new Beta version begins.

That error is a compile error, so either it should always work, or it should always fail. You can check the syntax within the Package Editor. If this is failing only intermittently, as you suggest, the only possibilities are that the code is being changed in-between, or you have multiple aliases named "healon", one of which works and one of which does not.
