Database Option List not allowing new entries |
I am attempting to keep an item database in zMud, using zMud's built-in database system. I have an option list called "Flags", containing the usual stuff - glow, hum, this, that, etc. I also have "Allow Other" checked so flags I missed can still be saved.
I have a few items in the database, no problems. But flags not in the list are not being saved. Even worse, if I try to go into Fields and add them to the option list, as soon as I switch to Record or List, or even click another field and click back, the new entries are gone. I've clicked Save on the field, I've saved the database before changing my view, nothing works. Thoughts? |

If I recall correctly there is a limit of either 31 or 15 distinct options allowed in an option list. If you have hit this limit then you won't be able to add anymore, and need to change how you are storing the data. I also remember that changing the field type to string doesn't work very well. You have to add a new string field, use a script to transfer the option data to it then remove the option list.

That would be it...there are 30 or so options. Must be 31.
Thanks for the quick response. |
