triggering state change on multistate button

I've got a multistate button (called Group) with 2 states that I want to switch whenever I'm grouped
but I'm not sure how to change the state or caption

%w joins your group.
change button state and caption

you remove %w from your group.
change button state and caption

a little help....thanks

with multistate-type buttons you have to reissue the #BUTTON command. I have no idea on the syntax for the defintion of a button, but it's easily the longest command in the entire scripting language.

If it were a menu-type of button, you could just set the menus as variable names and just change the variable content via your triggers that detect if you're grouped or not.

(&joined) joins your group

then put @joined in the text box

dont have zmud handy to check out the rest

If the button doesn't do anything (as in you don't click it to make it do something) then make it a gauge. Then Mixsel's idea will work.
