triggering state change on multistate button |
I've got a multistate button (called Group) with 2 states that I want to switch whenever I'm grouped
but I'm not sure how to change the state or caption
%w joins your group.
change button state and caption
you remove %w from your group.
change button state and caption
a little help....thanks |

with multistate-type buttons you have to reissue the #BUTTON command. I have no idea on the syntax for the defintion of a button, but it's easily the longest command in the entire scripting language.
If it were a menu-type of button, you could just set the menus as variable names and just change the variable content via your triggers that detect if you're grouped or not. |

Thinking you could have something like this
(&joined) joins your group
then put @joined in the text box
dont have zmud handy to check out the rest
hope this helps |

If the button doesn't do anything (as in you don't click it to make it do something) then make it a gauge. Then Mixsel's idea will work.
