#NODIR not working on zone transition

The subject pretty much says it all. I have a trigger that looks like this:
Code:

#TRIGGER {You cannot go} {#NODIR}

Normally, when I'm walking around inside my map, and I try to go a direction which doesn't exist, the above trigger is set off, and the mapper does not go that direction.

There is an area on the mud, which requires syntax 'clear rubble' for a northwest exit to appear, so you can enter the area. This area is a different zone, thus the connecting link trasfers between the two zones. The mapper seems to ignore the above trigger when passing between zones, as if I have not typed the syntax 'clear rubble' I get the message 'You cannot go northwest.' and still the mapper goes into the second zone.
