The (Complete and Utter) Novice's Guide

by Fang Xianfu

When I first learnt Lua, I found that there was a lack of entry-level, step-by-step guides for people with little to no programming experience. This guide is my attempt to fill in that gap.

My aim, simply, is to teach you, regardless of your programming background, enough Lua to solve most common problems, or at the very least teach you how to work out how to solve most common problems.

You may find it easier to read this guide inside CMUD's Help Viewer while going through the examples.

Minor, minor, minor point. On the longer pages it would be nice to have "Next" button or "Back to Top" instead of having to scroll to get to the next section. I know it's not standard for KB but it would still be nice.

Most of the chapters do actually include a link to the next one just before the Tim Toady section. I guess I could add one after some of the longer Tims as well (like Chapter 3's :|)
