zMUD 6.4 Loading Problem

After rebooting my computer tonight, attempting to start zmud resulted in a "Cannot read databases in C:Zmud" error. I tried a few different things, then simply wiped zmud and reinstalled 6.16, restored a backup of my char files, and it runs perfectly. Then, I re-downloaded 6.40, and when I attempt to run it, I get a "Class not registered" error and it won't start. Any suggestions?

Could be a MDAC issue. What version of windows and MDAC you running?

See here for more details.

I'm on Windows ME and I updated the MDAC a couple weeks ago and got all the necessary updates to try and make the mapper faster, my 6.4 has been running fine since it came out till last night, it seems odd that even a reinstall that'll let 6.16 work won't get 6.4 working. Any other suggestions?

Try moving the chardb.mdb file out of your zMUD directory. It might be corrupted for some reason or another.
